British Gymnastics Teachers' Award (Day 1)

This course is only available to qualified teachers.  It is necessary to complete the two days within the same school year in order to be awarded the British Gymnastics Teachers Award.  For this reason we have arranged both days in close proximity and recommend that teachers wishing to achieve this accreditation book both days at the same time.

Day 1

The Level 1 course focueses on National Curriculum stages 2 and 3, and includes the three modules on Body Management, Floor Skills and Vault

• Warm up / cool down and body Management
• Floor: skill progressions including forward roll, backward roll to handstand
• Vault:skill progressions from simple to more advanced vault exercises, incorporating safe landing
• Safety Issues and good practice
